Wendy Johnson was one of the first Nurse Practitioners to qualify through the RCN in the UK, and has since practiced in a variety of innovative advanced primary care nursing roles. Her experience spans general practice, Walk-In Centres, a large nursing and residential home for older people, and a homeless team. She was Nurse Consultant in Primary Care at the Tooting NHS Walk-In Centre, and Clinical Lead for the ‘Evercare’ Pilot in Wandsworth. She currently provides consultancy to a number of nurse-led services. Wendy holds an MSc in Advanced Nursing Practice and has recently completed a Postgraduate Certficate in Interprofessional Practice Education. She has written widely in numerous nursing journals, and regularly speaks at conferences.
